Kalyan Tirunahari has been working in the data engineering field since 2009. In 2009, they began working as an ETL Developer for Yahoo Hot Jobs Data Platform. After two years, they moved to Symantec as a BI Specialist, where they led a team for migrating the Enterprise BI Platform across Data Centers and defined strategy for sun setting legacy applications. In 2012, they joined Intuit as a Big Data Analytics Engineer and BI Developer. During their time there, they built and owned Quick Books Accountant Data Mart and partnered with Data Analysts, Engineers, and Product Managers for delivering critical insights that drove product growth and ease of use. In 2016, they moved to Zillow as an Engineer, Big Data & Analytics, where they tamed Peta Byte Scale impression data from various Zillow Brands and organized it into a Data Lake. Kalyan also set up AWS infrastructure and migrated in house Data to Amazon AWS Cloud. In 2018, they joined GoFundMe as a Data Engineer and Pinterest as a Data Engineer, Analytics. Finally, in 2020, they became a Founding Data Engineer at TomoCredit.
Kalyan Tirunahari has an education history that includes a Masters in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University, a Bachelors in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering from Bangalore University, and a Center for Professional Development from Stanford University in Data Mining and Analysis.
