Patrick Tavares is a highly experienced scientist specializing in cell therapy, currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Tome Biosciences since January 2022. Prior to this role, Patrick held various positions at Myeloid Therapeutics from August 2019 to February 2022, including Senior Scientist in the Cell Therapy Platform and Scientist. Patrick began work in the biotech field at Vor Biopharma as an Associate Scientist focused on CAR-T immunology and gene editing, following a tenure as a Research Associate in Immunology at TCR2 Therapeutics Inc. Patrick's early research experience includes internships at Selecta Biosciences, Tetraphase Pharmaceuticals, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Massachusetts General Hospital, where contributions were made across multiple areas of biological research. Patrick earned a Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from the College of the Holy Cross.
