Dan Mearns is an experienced aviation professional with a robust background in helicopter operations and instruction. Currently serving as a Helicopter Pilot at Toll Group and a Remote Pilot at Surf Life Saving NSW since December 2021, Dan previously worked at Boeing as an Instructor Pilot, where training systems for future Australian Defence Force helicopter aircrew were designed and developed. Dan's military background includes a distinguished career in the Australian Army from July 2003 to October 2016, featuring overseas deployments, NVG Captaincy, and experience in humanitarian assistance, AeroMedical Evacuation, and search and rescue operations. Dan holds a Master of Aviation Management from the University of Newcastle, obtained between 2009 and 2011.
