Julie Fincher, Ed.S., serves as the Regional Human Resources Manager for the DeKalb County Board of Education since December 2015. In addition, Julie holds the position of Chief People Officer at Smarty Jewels, LLC., an organization focused on women's empowerment and personal development since January 2014. Julie is also an HR Business Partner for the Institute of School Improvement Practices (ISIP), which aims to enrich educational experiences for students. Prior experience includes roles at the Georgia Department of Education, where Julie worked as an HR/Education Auditor, Needs Improvement Specialist, Graduation Coach Coordinator, and Secondary Education Specialist, contributing to various initiatives aimed at improving educational outcomes. Educational qualifications include an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of West Georgia, a Master's in Social Work and Policy from Florida A&M University, and a Bachelor's in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Florida State University and Florida A&M University.
