Karine van der Werf is a highly experienced professional in the fields of thin film technology and materials development, currently serving as Unit QSHE Coordinator, Prevention Officer, and Senior Researcher at TNO since April 2018. With a background in thin film engineering, Karine van der Werf has previously held positions at Solliance Solar Research and ECN, focusing on device characterization and the development of silicon anode materials for Li-ion batteries. Academic experience at Utrecht University included significant roles in research on thin film silicon alloys and laboratory management. Educational qualifications comprise a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from Zuyd University and ongoing studies in Safety Management. Additional internships provided foundational experiences in technical ceramics and accelerator measurements.
