Ashraf Abdel Haleem is a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor at Yokohama National University since January 2020, focusing on alkaline water electrolysis research and development. Concurrently, Ashraf collaborates with TMEIC, Panasonic, NIPPON SHOKUBAI CO., LTD., and De Nora on various projects related to testing power supplies, developing electro catalysts, and membranes for alkaline water electrolysis. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at Chubu University, specializing in electrochemistry and material science for clean energy, as well as a senior researcher position in artificial photosynthesis for green hydrogen production. Ashraf's academic background includes a PhD from Nagoya Institute of Technology and a Master's degree from Cairo University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
