Jimmy Bergeron has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry, primarily in solar power. Jimmy is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Titan Renewables since June 2022. Prior to this, Jimmy founded and served as the CEO of JMB Renewables, LLC from October 2018 to June 2022. During their tenure, they successfully expanded the company's operations to three states, grew the employee count from one to 60, and secured contracts with major residential solar installation companies. Jimmy also oversaw the removal and reinstallation of PV modules on over 700 homes and military housing units. Jimmy was responsible for managing the company's finances, including expenses, bills, and invoices, and played a key role in authoring contracts, master service agreements, and HR policies.
Before JMB Renewables, LLC, Jimmy held the position of Sr. Manager, Residential Field Services at Tesla from September 2017 to September 2018. Prior to that, they worked at SolarCity, where they served as the Vice President of Operations and Maintenance and Director of O&M from October 2013 to September 2017. In this role, they managed the reporting, monitoring, and maintenance of over 3 Gigawatts of solar assets and led a department that grew from 20 to over 370 employees. Jimmy also served as the Walmart Account Manager and Actus Lend Lease Project Manager at SolarCity from March 2010 to September 2013, overseeing the coordination of information flow between departments and managing the entire solar project life cycle.
Earlier in their career, Jimmy worked as a Construction Manager and Residential Crew Lead at SolarCity from November 2006 to June 2009. Jimmy managed various construction projects, including a 600kw project at eBay, and was responsible for ensuring safety and managing DC electrical components.
Jimmy's earliest experience in the renewable energy industry was as a Solar Crew Lead at Owens Electric & Solar from March 2006 to November 2006.
Jimmy Bergeron's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish Language and Literature and History from Villanova University, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Jimmy also attended Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2016, focusing on Finance for Senior Executives. In addition to their formal education, Jimmy has obtained certifications such as NABCEP Certification from NABCEP: North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners in 2009, CPR certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in 2008, and a Commercial and Industrial Electricians License from the California Department of Industrial Relations.
