Sharon O'Connell is an experienced freelance writer with a strong background in music journalism. Since 2006, Sharon has contributed to Uncut and has been a staff writer for the Music Section of Time Out London since 2001, focusing on live previews, album reviews, and digital content generation. Prior to these roles, Sharon served as the Live Reviews Editor at Melody Maker from 1995 to 2000, where responsibilities included commissioning reviewers, editing content, and revitalizing the live reviews section. Sharon holds a Graduate Diploma in Communications, Journalism & Media Studies with a focus on Film Theory from the NSW Institute of Technology and a BA in Art History, Spanish, and Philosophy from The University of Auckland.
