Valerie Lam is a skilled legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and risk management across multiple sectors. Currently serving as Compliance Counsel at TikTok since April 2023, Valerie previously held the position of Anti-Corruption Compliance Counsel and Risk & Compliance Programs Lead at Dell Technologies from June 2019 to April 2023. Valerie's career also includes a significant tenure at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where roles encompassed Anti-Bribery/FCPA Compliance and Senior Principal Contracts Manager from September 2009 to June 2019, along with a focus on internal audit with a specialization in anti-corruption. Earlier experience includes working as an Associate Attorney at Magaletta & McCarthy, P.C. Valerie holds a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Boston University, and has further training with the MA Collaborative Law Council.
