Melynnie Rizvi currently serves as the Global Head of Employment Law at TikTok since February 2023. Prior to this role, Melynnie held various positions at Shutterfly, Inc., including Deputy General Counsel overseeing Employment, Litigation, Compliance, Business Practices, and IP from August 2021 to January 2023. At Momentive.ai from March 2018 to August 2021, Melynnie advanced through several titles related to Global Employment, Compliance, Social Justice, and Policy. Earlier experience includes a role as Sr Director of Global Employment Law, Litigation, Ethics & Compliance at Veritas Technologies LLC, and Director and Senior Corporate Counsel at Symantec. Melynnie began the legal career as a Partner in the Employment Practices Group at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP and served as an Associate in the Employment Group at Baker & McKenzie. Melynnie earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of Alberta in 1999 and a degree in Business with a focus on Human Resources from the same institution in 1995.
