Fiona Byrns has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades in various roles within the food industry. Fiona began their career at Cadbury plc. as a New Product Development Manager, responsible for developing and launching new product lines. Fiona also managed R&D technologists and played a key role in developing the SAP system for the company. Fiona then moved on to Nabisco Biscuit Company, where they served as the New Product Development Manager. At Mars, they worked as an R&D Manager, focusing on defining and developing business processes and implementing quality control systems. Fiona later joined Orley Foods, where they held positions as Operations Manager and Project Manager, overseeing major projects and managing various departments. Fiona then worked as an Owner/Consultant at World focus cc/EOH, providing project management services to clients in the FMCG and manufacturing industries. Prior to their current role, Fiona worked at Bidfood Technologies as a Technical Executive and at FAB Consultancy as a Food Industry Specialist. Fiona most recently served as the R&D Manager at Lodestone - Mister Sweet before taking on their current position as the R&D Operations Director at Tiger Brands.
Fiona Byrns obtained a Bachelor's degree in Web/Multimedia Management and Webmaster from Shaw University in the years 2014-2016. In 2000-2001, they received a Diploma in Packaging Technology from The Institute of Packaging. Additionally, they hold a Diploma in Project Management from Damelin in 1998, and ND Food Technology degree from Cape Peninsula University of Technology in the years 1983-1986. Fiona also has various additional certifications in areas such as First Aid, Recruitment, Conflict Resolution, and Project Management.
