Teruaki Sakata is currently working as an Engineer at TIER IV since November 2022. Previously, they were employed at Hitachi as a Chief Researcher from April 2019 to October 2022, and as a Researcher from April 2002 to March 2019.

Teruaki Sakata completed their Bachelor's degree in Information Engineering with a focus on Computer Software at Osaka University from 1996 to 2000. Teruaki proceeded to pursue a Master's degree in Information Engineering, specializing in Computer Hardware, at the same university from 2000 to 2002. Prior to their university education, Sakata attended Takefu High School in Fukui from 1993 to 1996, but no degree or field of study information was provided for this period.
