Tom Dery is an advisor at the Tide Foundation and has over three decades of experience in the advertising and marketing industry. Tom began their career at Ansett Australia in 1980 as Deputy GM - Commercial and then went on to establish Whybin, Dery Barnes in 1992, which was sold to DDB in 1993. Tom became Managing Director at DDB Melbourne in 1993 and then Worldwide Chairman at M & C Saatchi in 1995. Tom remained in this role for over 20 years before taking on the role of Chairman at M&C Saatchi Australia from 2016 to 2019. In 2018, Tom also took on a role as Member of the Strategy & Risk Committee at Sydney University, a position they held until 2020.
Tom Dery has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Economics) With Merit from University of NSW. Tom also attended Harvard University and Randwick High School.
