Tami Kim has been working in the game industry since 2014. Tami began their career as a Creative Intern at Audience Entertainment, where they managed 3D assets, presentations, and designed pitches into a visually presentable format for clients. Tami also used video editing programs like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Maya for interactive projects and modeled 3D assets for games. In 2015, they worked as a Freelance Background Artist at KZ Animation, producing 30+ layouts and backgrounds for each animated shorts that were completed for Storycorps by a given deadline. In 2016, they worked as a Freelance 3D Artist/Illustrator at Borrowed Light Studios, creating 3D models of in-game props and texturing them in Maya and 3DCoat for use in Unity, as well as illustrating concepts and ideas for the rooms that were modeled in 3D. Tami also worked as a Freelance Animator and Animation/Media Specialist at AMAZE Organization, creating a set of images used for thumbnails and posters, animated clips, and sounds for use on Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media platforms, as well as helping collate and manage a library of images that were used as posters and social headers, and editing existing videos for changes in titles, credits, etc. In 2017, they worked as a Freelance Game Artist at Nickelodeon. From 2018 to 2022, they worked as a Technical Artist and Technical Artist II at DoubleDown Interactive. Currently, they are a Technical Artist at Tic Toc Games.
Tami Kim received a Bachelor's Degree in Animation, Interactive Technology, Video Graphics and Special Effects, and Illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design between 2011 and 2015.
