R. Michael Raab is the director of Tiba Biotech, a nucleic acid delivery company developing RNA-based vaccines for human and animal health. Prior to their current position, Raab served as the founder and president of Agrivida, Inc., where they led business and technical development, assembled the management and scientific teams, and developed a strong intellectual property portfolio. R. also negotiated numerous strategic partnering agreements and collaborations during their tenure. Agrivida grew to over 45 people and established collaborative agreements with Syngenta, POET, and other major companies during Raab's time as president. Prior to their work at Agrivida, Raab served as a board director at Tiba Biotech and as a graduate research assistant at MIT, where they earned their Ph.D. in chemical engineering. R. also worked as a staff biochemical engineer at Merck Research Laboratories for 3 years.
R. Michael Raab has a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Chemical Engineering. R. also has a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Chemical Engineering.
