Thomas Steinmetz is an experienced engineering leader specializing in the development and engineering of green hydrogen and electrolysis plants. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at thyssenkrupp nucera since January 2022, Thomas oversees four engineering departments with more than 80 employees. Prior to this role, Thomas held various high-level positions at thyssenkrupp Uhde Chlorine Engineers GmbH, including Head of Engineering and Head of Product Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed global engineering for Chloralkali, HCl, and AWE plants. Earlier in Thomas's career at thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG, roles included Senior Project Manager, Head of Design Department, and Head of Product Engineering. Thomas holds a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Chemical Engineering from TU Dortmund University.
