Jian Deng is an experienced applied scientist with a solid background in data science and advanced mathematical methodologies. At Thumbtack since May 2022, Jian has leveraged expertise in machine learning and computer vision. Previous roles include data scientist at Cerebri AI, research assistant at the University of Waterloo, and various postdoctoral positions at Alberta Health Services and the University of Alberta, where Jian made significant contributions in neural networks and electromagnetic problem-solving. Jian holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, and a Master's degree from the University of Alberta, along with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from South China University of Technology.
