Akeem Williams is a co-founder of Thread, a YCombinator W23 startup, since January 2023. Previously, Akeem served as an engineer at Polimorphic, contributing to the development of an operating system for local and state governments from May 2022 to January 2023. Akeem's experience includes a role as a software engineer at Microsoft from August 2019 to April 2022, where design and deployment of data connectors for the Microsoft Store Online occurred. Prior internships include a technology summer analyst position at Morgan Stanley and a biomedical informatics internship at the Regenstrief Institute, where Akeem developed a SMART-On-FHIR application. Akeem holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Amherst College and has engaged in various roles in educational and research settings, including work as a resident counselor and aquatic toxicology researcher.
