Derrell Johnson has a diverse work experience. Derrell worked at SaaS Partners as the Chief Product Officer since July 2017. Prior to that, they were employed by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services as a Product Owner/Technical Business Analyst starting from April 2017. Before joining the Commonwealth of Kentucky, they worked at Ashland. At Ashland, they held the position of Global Computer Operations Team Lead from October 2015 to March 2017. Additionally, they worked as an Information Technology Intern at Ashland from September 2014 to September 2015. Derrell began their career as a Jr. Business Analyst at the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services from January 2013 to August 2014.

Derrell Johnson has a background in computer engineering and pre-engineering. Derrell attended the University of Kentucky, where they pursued a degree in Computer Engineering. Following that, they enrolled at Bluegrass Community and Technical College to earn an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Engineering. Along with their education, Derrell holds additional certifications such as SAFe 4 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc., CompTIA A+, and ITIL V3 Foundation.
