Sandy Maylock, LISW-CP has extensive work experience in the field of social work and child welfare. Sandy has held various leadership positions throughout their career. From March 2023 to the present, they have served as the Foster Care Program Director at Thornwell, where they oversee the organization's foster care program. Prior to this, from September 2022, they worked as an International Program Caseworker at CAS. From August 2015 to April 2022, Sandy worked as the Regional Director at SAFY of America, where they supervised 5 regional partner agencies and provided community-based prevention services. From July 2014 to April 2015, they were the Assistant Director of International Programs at Lifeline Children's Services, where they managed adoption and orphan care programs. From February 2004 to May 2014, Sandy worked as the Branch Office Director for Western Pennsylvania & Ohio at Bethany Christian Services, where they provided strategic leadership for adoption, foster care, and pregnancy counseling services. Prior to that, they worked as a Career/Associate Missionary - Social Ministry at IMB from March 1996 to January 2004. Sandy's early career includes roles at Holt International Children's Services, where they served as the USAID Project Director for the "Future of Romania Children" project and as a Social Worker/International Program Manager, focusing on post-adoption services and international program management.

Sandy Maylock, LISW-CP, holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Portland State University, which they obtained from 1983 to 1986. Sandy'sfield of study during that time was Social Work. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Community Development at Penn State University from 1979 to 1983.
