Stephen Pessiki is a distinguished academic and industry professional in the field of structural engineering. Currently serving as a Professor at Lehigh University since 1990, Stephen has held various roles including Department Chair and Associate Professor. Stephen's contributions to the field have been recognized with several awards, including the Best Paper Award at the 16th European Bridge Conference in 2015 and the Leslie D. Martin Award of Merit from the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute in 2010. Additionally, Stephen held the position of Honorary Visiting Professor at the University of Jinan, China, from 2013 to 2016, and is an Honorary Member of the Brazilian Society of Structural Engineers. Since January 2018, Stephen has also served as Senior Vice President at Thornton Tomasetti within the Forensics practice. Stephen earned a Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Cornell University, as well as a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution and Drexel University, respectively.
