Professor & Director Of Acute Care Transitions at Thomas Jefferson University

Kristin Rising has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Kristin currently holds the position of Professor & Director of Acute Care Transitions at Thomas Jefferson University. Before that, they were the Founding Executive Director at Jefferson Center for Connected Care. Prior to their current roles, Kristin worked at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals as the Director of Acute Care Transitions and Associate Professor from 2017 to 2022, and as the Director of Acute Care Transitions and Assistant Professor from 2014 to 2017. Kristin also served as a Research Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2014, where they worked in the Department of Emergency Medicine as an Attending Physician. Kristin began their career as an Emergency Medicine Resident at Boston Medical Center from 2008 to 2012.

Kristin Rising received their Bachelor's degree from Yale University in 2001. Kristin then attended the University of California, San Francisco, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree between 2003 and 2008. Later, they pursued a Masters of Science degree in Health Policy at the University of Pennsylvania from 2012 to 2014.
