John Seguin has over 15 years of experience in the library and information services industry. John began their career in 2003 as a Technology Services Librarian at Missouri S&T, where they helped create the Institutional Repository and renovated existing library technology and public space. In 2008, they became an Account Executive for Higher Education sales at ProQuest, where they were successful in meeting or exceeding sales targets. In 2012, they co-founded Third Iron and served as President and Chief Librarian. John helped design and develop Third Iron's two flagship products - LibKey and BrowZine - and grew the business to nearly 1,000 libraries in more than 32 countries worldwide.

John Seguin obtained a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2002, which they completed in four years. Following this, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Information Science from the same university in 2003.
