Eric Postma, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Eric currently serves as a Board Member at CAMA (Canadian Agri-food Marketers Alliance), where they co-chairs the Events committee and chairs the Communications committee. In these roles, they plan and executes events for CAMA Manitoba members and supports the development and execution of communications plans.
Prior to their current role, Eric worked at Think Shift, starting as an Inbound Lead and eventually becoming the Vice President Digital. As the Digital Director, they worked with clients to build digital strategies and managed a team of digital marketers and website developers. Eric also played a key role in building Think Shift's Inbound product offering.
Before their time at Think Shift, Eric operated their own consultancy, Eric Postma Communications. As a Freelance Consultant, they provided strategic marketing consulting services to a variety of clients in industries including non-profit, real estate, education, construction, manufacturing, and wellness. Eric also developed digital marketing strategies for a national vocational college and created comprehensive marketing and communications plans for a real estate development project in Winnipeg.
Eric has also contributed to the University of Manitoba, where they served as a Sessional Instructor in Digital Marketing and developed a course covering various topics such as SEO, analytics, social media, and e-commerce. Eric also worked as the Web & New Media Coordinator, managing the University's communications portal and implementing marketing strategies for internal clients.
In addition, Eric has experience in the sports and entertainment industry, having worked as the Manager, Digital Media at True North Sports & Entertainment. In this role, they led a digital marketing team and developed strategies and budgets for online marketing and communications for the Winnipeg Jets, MTS Centre, and other subsidiaries.
Earlier in their career, Eric worked as a Regional Web Coordinator at Sun Media, providing training and support for news websites and managing the online publication of daily news. Eric also gained experience as a Communications Assistant at Providence College, where they provided web and communications support, developed a communications strategy, and contributed to a rebranding project.
Eric Postma, MBA obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Leadership and Organizations from the University of Manitoba, where they studied from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they attended Providence College from 2003 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications & Media. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications including "Delivering Client Success" and "Developing a Sales Plan" from HubSpot in December 2016, "Google Analytics" and "Google Adwords" from Google in March 2017 and February 2017 respectively, and a range of certifications related to marketing, sales, and design from HubSpot in December 2016 and January 2017.
