Shaneel Maharaj is a skilled mining professional with extensive experience in mine planning, scheduling, and engineering. Currently serving as Mine Planning & Scheduling Superintendent at Thiess since August 2022, Shaneel previously held the position of Senior Mining Engineer at Thiess Curragh North Project from March 2021 to April 2022 and has been with Thiess since April 2015 in various engineering roles. Earlier experience includes a role as Mining Engineer with Leighton Contractors from July 2010 to April 2015, and a brief stint as Graduate Engineer at BHP Billiton in late 2009. Shaneel holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Queensland, completed in 2010.
