Shane Farr is an experienced maintenance professional with a comprehensive background in diesel fitting and management. Currently serving as a Maintenance Supervisor at Thiess since November 2018, Shane supervises a motivated team in field maintenance while pursuing a Certificate IV in Frontline Management. Previous roles include positions as a Diesel Fitter at EML Maintenance and WesTrac Cat, where Shane conducted maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy machinery, including those used in major coal mining operations. Shane also held significant roles at Hastings Deering, including Leading Hand - Failure Analysis, where expertise in Caterpillar powertrain components was developed, and has extensive experience servicing and maintaining mining equipment from various manufacturers since starting as an Apprentice Diesel Fitter in 1994. Shane's educational background includes a Certificate in Engineering Construction from Tafe Queensland.
