Liam Farrington is an experienced geotechnical and geology professional with a robust career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as the Lead for Geotechnical & Geology in Australian Operations at Thiess since March 2015, Liam has progressed through various roles including Lead Geotechnical Engineer, Senior Geotechnical Engineer, and Geotechnical Engineer. Prior to Thiess, Liam worked at Leighton Contractors as a Project Geologist and BHP Billiton as a Geologist. Liam began the career at The Moultrie Group as an Exploration Geologist. Liam holds a Master of Engineering in Mining Geomechanics from UNSW (2019-2021) and a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Liverpool John Moores University (2005-2008).
