Samantha Baker has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and companies. Samantha started their career as an intern at Rosica Strategic Public Relations in 2007, followed by internships at Akris in 2008 and ELLE Magazine in 2009. Samantha later joined Refinery29, Inc. as a Revenue Intern in 2013 and progressed to become an Assistant to the Chief Revenue Officer in 2014. Samantha then transitioned into the role of Manager in Business Development and Partnerships in 2016, and eventually became the Director of Business Development and Partnerships from 2018 to 2019. In 2020, they joined VICE Media as a VP of Partnership Management until 2021, when they became a VP of Commerce and Partnerships until 2023. Currently, Samantha works at theSkimm as a VP of Commerce.

Samantha Baker attained a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Quinnipiac University between 2006 and 2010. Samantha then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Public Relations from the same institution, completing their education between 2010 and 2013.
