Jim Farrer is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in accounting and financial reporting. Currently serving as Controller at ThermoWorks, Inc. since May 2012, Jim has previously held positions such as Assistant Controller at Wheeler Machinery Co. and Senior Financial Reporting Accountant at Omniture. With expertise in preparing financial reporting packages, overseeing audits in accordance with US GAAP, and managing inventory balancing, Jim has a proven track record in financial analysis and reporting. Additional experience includes roles at Brooks Automation, Sentry Financial Corporation, and Hansen, Barnett & Maxwell, where Jim demonstrated skills in project management, property tax preparation, and audit supervision. Jim holds an MBA with an emphasis in accounting from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Utah Valley University.
