Clinic Director Virtual Care at Origin

Leigh Welsh has a diverse work experience in the field of physical therapy. Leigh is currently working at Origin as the Clinic Director Virtual Care since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Women's Health Physical Therapist at Origin starting in October 2020. In 2021, they also founded Evexia Physical Therapy, where they are the Owner and a Physical Therapist.

Before that, Leigh worked at Luna On-Demand Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist from July 2019 to October 2020. Leigh also gained valuable experience at San Francisco Sport & Spine Physical Therapy as a Physical Therapist from August 2016 to June 2020. Additionally, Leigh worked as a Physical Therapist at St. Francis Memorial Hospital from September 2014 to June 2018, and at Renew Physical Therapy from September 2014 to June 2016.

Leigh Welsh's education history begins in 2005, when they enrolled at Duke University and pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology, which they completed in 2009. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended the Duke University School of Medicine from 2011 to 2014, where they obtained a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. In 2016, they joined Evidence in Motion and undertook an Orthopaedic Physical Therapy Residency, which they completed in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Leigh Welsh has obtained several certifications. In 2013, they received the CAPP-Pelvic Level 1 certification from the SECTION ON WOMENS HEALTH APTA. Subsequently, in 2014, they became a Certified Lymphedema Therapist accredited by the Norton School Of Lymphatic. In July 2014, they also obtained the Physical Therapist certification from the Physical Therapy Board of California. In July 2018, they acquired the Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS) designation granted by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Moreover, in August 2019, they became Myofascial Decompression Certified through Bay Area Sports Performance & Rehabilitation. Most recently, in June 2020, Leigh Welsh attained the Physical Therapist certification from the New York State Education Department and Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
