Michael Hagel is a Technical Staff member at Theorem since January 2024. Previously, Michael worked as a Machine Learning Software Engineer at Best Egg from August 2021 to January 2024, focusing on inference optimization, model serving runtimes, CI/CD, and enhancing data scientist tooling and user experience. From January 2020 to July 2021, Michael served as a Software Engineer in Credit Risk at MUFG, specializing in ML model serving infrastructure. Earlier experience includes an internship in Consumer Lending at Union Bank during the summer of 2015. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science from the University of Oregon, completed in 2019.
