Jacob Bashyrov is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in immigration and criminal law. Currently serving as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, Office of Immigration Litigation since August 2007, Jacob oversees civil immigration litigation and provides counsel to federal agencies on matters related to alien admission and removal. Additionally, Jacob is a Grader for Themis Bar Review and previously held a similar role at BARBRI Global, contributing to bar exam preparation for students in Maryland and the District of Columbia. Earlier experience includes serving as an Assistant State's Attorney in Baltimore City, where Jacob prosecuted criminal cases and investigated identity theft and fraud. Jacob holds a JD from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law and a BA in Political Science from California State University, Northridge.
