Craig Selinger has a diverse work experience in the field of speech-language therapy, learning specialist, and tutoring. Craig founded Themba Tutors in 2012, offering personalized tutoring services for all levels and learning styles. Prior to that, they founded Brooklyn Letters in 2010, providing speech-language therapy and education services. Craig also worked as a Speech-Language Therapist at the New York Center for Infants and Toddlers, Inc. and Big Apples Speech Guy. Craig has experience working with children on the autism spectrum and those with developmental delays at the Children's Home Intervention Program. Craig has also worked as a Speech-Language Therapist at the Committee on Preschool Special Education. Additionally, they worked as a Learning Specialist at The Family School and as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Craig Selinger graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Communicative Disorders in 2001. Craig then continued at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Communicative Disorders in 2003. Craig also holds additional certifications including a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology from The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), a New York State Professional License as a Speech-Language Pathologist from the New York State Education Department, an Orton-Gillingham Practitioner certification from Orton Gillingham Reading Specialists, and PROMPT Training - Level 1 certification from The PROMPT Institute.
