Michael Lombardo is the Founder and CEO of BrightBee, a startup addressing the staffing crisis in K-12 education, childcare, and youth development, with a focus on non-teaching roles. Currently serving as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of California, Riverside, Michael mentors early-stage companies mainly in education and youth engagement. As Founder and CEO of BookNook, Lombardo has successfully leveraged technology to support struggling young readers, reaching over a million students and achieving validation through rigorous studies. Previously, Lombardo held leadership positions at My Brother's Keeper Alliance, Reading Partners, and UC Berkeley, fostering early reading achievement and expanding educational opportunities. Lombardo's education includes an Executive Program for Nonprofit Leaders from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in History and English from the University of Michigan.
