Ara Avakian is a seasoned network security professional with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Network Security Engineer at Armed Forces Benefit Association (AFBA) since December 2016, Ara provides strategic guidance on network and security tasks. In addition, Ara acts as Chief Information Security Officer and a board member at TheIncLab, focusing on innovative interactive experiences. Previous roles include Senior Network Consultant at AFBA, Network & Internet Team Lead at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and Senior Network Engineer at notable firms such as Lockheed Martin and Unisys. Ara holds an AA in Computer Science from Montgomery College and several certifications, including Cisco Meraki Network Operator.
