Kent Plunkett is an advisor at Theia Analytics Group. Kent was previously the CEO of Intronis, a SaaS leader in cloud backup and recovery software distributed through the MSP Channel. Kent focused on customer satisfaction and retention while re-tooling the brand positioning and sales team, which helped the company increase its market share and revenue growth rate. The company was acquired by Barracuda Software in October 2015.
Plunkett was also the CEO of Salary.com from 1999 to 2010. Kent led the company from its founding to a successful 2007 IPO, growing it into an organization of 500+ employees with 4,000+ subscription enterprise accounts, 10,000+ smb accounts, and tens of millions of individual users of its freemium Salary Wizard product. The company was acquired by Kenexa in 2010 and then IBM in 2012, but was re-acquired by management, HIG Capital, and The Prudential Capital Group in late 2015.
Kent Plunkett has an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB in Economics and Government from Georgetown University. Kent also has certification from World at Work as a CCP (Certified Compensation Professional).
