Cristina Pla-Guzman is an accomplished theatre educator and writer with extensive experience in various educational and professional settings. Currently serving as a Board of Trustees Member at Florida Theatrical Association, Inc. and an Upper School Theatre Teacher/Director at Miami Country Day School, Cristina has also contributed to Theatre Communications Group and BroadwayWorld.com as a Freelance Writer and Contributing Editor, respectively. Previous roles include lead teacher of the Academy of Fine Arts Theatre Program at Monsignor Edward Pace High School, where numerous awards were received, including the Kennedy Center/Stephen Sondheim Inspirational Teacher Award in 2016. Cristina holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Florida International University and a Master of Science in Special Education from St. Thomas University.
