Gerard Geoffroy

Chair of the Community Health at The Wright Center for Community Health

Gerard Geoffroy serves as Chair of the Wright Center for Community Health Board of Directors and Immediate Past Chair of The Wright Center for Patient and Community Engagement. He has been a patient of The Wright Center for more than 20 years and is a fervent advocate of having patient representatives at the governance table.

His passion for health care was ignited while caring for his late wife during her illness, and he continues to advocate for patient education and quality health care delivery. He worked in the fields of mental health and education for more than 40 years and retired from the University of Scranton as an adjunct professor. An avid traveler, he has learned much about other health systems of the world, particularly those in Europe, and brings this firsthand knowledge to his governance roles.
