Victor A. Lopez-Carmen serves as an Invited Health Equity RoundTable Participant at The White House, advising on Indigenous health equity and policy. As a Co-Founder of the Ohiyesa Premedical Program, Victor developed a pipeline initiative for Native American youth in collaboration with Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. Current research at Brigham and Women's Hospital focuses on minority recruitment and pipeline program development. Victor also serves on the Research Advisory Board at Ariadne Labs, addressing race dialogues in healthcare, and is an appointed member of Boston's COVID-19 Health Inequities Task Force. As Co-Chair of the UN Global Indigenous Youth Caucus, responsibilities include global policy organization and lobbying. Victor is a medical student at Harvard Medical School, where leadership includes Co-President of the Indigenous student group, and co-hosting the Clinical Problem Solvers podcast. Educational achievements include a Doctor of Medicine from Harvard Medical School, a Master of Public Health from Western Sydney University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Chemistry from Ithaca College.
