Melanie Rutherford is a multifaceted professional currently serving as a Mainstreet Board Member at Mainstreet Pontiac since December 2023 and as an Outreach and Enrollment Specialist at The Wellness Plan since September 2022. Melanie has been elected as a City Council Member for District 1 in Pontiac, and holds the position of Vice President of the Pontiac Housing Commission since May 2021. As CEO of Mellosmoothpublishing LLC, an entertainment company established in 2001, Melanie focuses on creating timeless music with universal appeal. Additionally, volunteer efforts at Woodside Bible Church encompass various levels of ministry, while previous roles include Outreach Executive at Oak Street Health and Community Care Advocate for United Way for Southeastern Michigan. Educationally, Melanie studied Music Performance at Dillard University and is currently pursuing further education with Degree Forward.
