Ian Kimbell is an experienced researcher and educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Physics from Harvard University, obtained in 2023. Currently serving as a Teaching Assistant and Residential Mentor for The Summer Science Program, Ian supports advanced high school students in astrophysics research. Previous experience includes roles as a Student Researcher in Biophysics at Harvard University, where Ian conducted behavioral experiments involving c. elegans and neuronal imaging, and in Computational Physics, focusing on simulations of knot theory applied to protein chains using Python and LAMMPS. Additionally, Ian has research experience from The Summer Science Program, where work included determining the orbital parameters of a Near Earth Asteroid. Academic accomplishments include an Academic Honors Diploma from New Albany Senior High School.
