Hiroyuki Yamada currently serves as the CTO and CEO of Scalar, Inc. and has held various academic positions, including Visiting Researcher and Research Fellow at The University of Tokyo, as well as Lecturer at Keio University. Yamada has also worked as Chief Technology Officer at Orb, Inc. and as an IPA Mitou Creator for the Information-technology Promotion Agency in Japan. Yamada's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in computer science with a focus on database systems from The University of Tokyo, obtained between 2010 and 2013, and a Master's degree in computer science, also specializing in database systems, from Keio University, earned from 2008 to 2010.
