Kurtis Carsch is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at The University of Texas at Austin since January 2025, focusing on organometallic catalysis, gas separations including carbon capture, porous material design, and synthetic inorganic chemistry. Prior to this role, Kurtis was an Arnold O. Beckman Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley from February 2021 to December 2024, contributing to research in decarbonization materials. Academic training includes a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Harvard University (2016-2021) and a combined BS/MS degree in Chemistry with a focus on catalysis from the California Institute of Technology (2012-2016).
