Jamie Brown has extensive experience in communications and media relations within higher education institutions. At The University of Manchester since October 2014, Jamie has held various key roles, including Interim Director of Communications and Head of Communications, focusing on media management, corporate communications, and media training. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Press Officer at the University of Liverpool, where Jamie managed media relations and campaign strategies, and as Press and PR Officer at the University of Salford, which involved proactive media engagement and the establishment of a prominent social media presence. Jamie holds a 2:1 degree in English from The University of Manchester and has contributed to various speaking engagements, notably at the Sense About Science media training day for Early Career Researchers.
