Giuseppe Romano is a Casual Research Assistant at The University of Manchester since October 2019, involved in polymer extrusion with FET and as a Visiting Research Associate on a project focused on weld residual stress modelling for EDF Energy UK. As a Teaching Assistant, Giuseppe has supported various aerospace courses through marking and lab tutorials. Currently, Giuseppe serves as a Student Ambassador for Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence and as Italia Regional Representative for NAFEMS, organizing engineering simulation events in Italy. Previous roles include Research Assistant at Graphene Innovations Manchester and a Master's Thesis Internship at Siemens PLM Software, where computational micromechanical models were developed. Giuseppe holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester and multiple degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Università della Calabria and other institutions.
