Scott Weir has extensive experience in the field of medical innovation and translational research, currently serving as the Director of The Institute for Advancing Medical Innovation at The University of Kansas Cancer Center since February 2006. The institute focuses on transforming laboratory discoveries into therapies for cancer, neurologic, and rare diseases, with backing from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. Additionally, Scott Weir holds the position of Associate Director for Translational Research at the same institution. Prior to this, Scott Weir was the Vice President of Early Development and Laboratory Services at Quintiles Inc. and Director, Acting Vice President at Hoescht Marion Roussel. Scott Weir earned a PharmD and PhD in Pharmacokinetics and Biopharmaceutics from the University of Nebraska Medical Center between 1983 and 1986.
