Donald Bales is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software development and horticulture. As a Certified Master Gardener with the University of Arizona, Bales provides science-based horticulture information to the public. In addition, Bales has worked as an IOT Scientist since 2020, focusing on open-source software and conducting hardware studies. Previous roles include Solutions Architect at Sitation, where PIM implementations were conducted across various programming languages, and as a Technical Lead on Akeneo PIM implementations for both CITY Furniture and Capri Holdings Limited. Bales' background also includes significant leadership experience as the Department Head at Argonne National Laboratory, managing teams focused on environmental software and geospatial analytics.
