Patricia T. Barmeyer

Patricia Thrower Barmeyer is a partner in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office and the head of the firm’s environmental practice.

Ms. Barmeyer earned her J.D., cum laude, in 1971 from Harvard University and her B.A. from Hollins University in 1968. She has served on several boards including Trees Atlanta, the Ossabaw Island Foundation (immediate past chair), the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation (chair), the Atlanta Bar Association and the Piedmont Park Conservancy.

Patricia grew up in Atlanta and lives on 28th St., about a mile from her childhood home, where her father Randolph Thrower still resides. She has two grown children and one granddaughter. She worked for the Georgia Attorney General for 18 years, representing the Department of Natural Resources and the Environmental Protection Division and had the privilege of participating in the protection of the coastal marshlands, Sapelo Island, Ossabaw Island and other coastal treasures. Since 1990 she has been at King & Spalding and her practice is environmental litigation.
