Samantha Storey is a seasoned journalism professional with extensive experience in editorial leadership, podcast production, and teaching. Currently, Samantha serves as the Managing Editor at The Trace, overseeing the editorial calendar and managing a team focused on news and data stories. Prior roles include being an Editor for Substack's "Story Club" and an Executive Producer at AT WILL MEDIA, where Samantha led original non-fiction podcasts, including The Big Flop, which received acclaim from The Economist. At Bloomberg News, Samantha produced and hosted award-winning investigative and narrative podcasts. Additionally, Samantha has experience in academia as a Lecturer at The New School and held senior editorial positions at The Huffington Post and The New York Times, handling diverse themes and major news events. Samantha holds a BA in English and Philosophy from Boston College.
