Joshua Fechter is an experienced journalist specializing in urban affairs and city reporting. Currently serving as an Urban Affairs Reporter for Texas Tribune since August 2021, Joshua previously held various positions at San Antonio Express-News from August 2016 to August 2021, including City Hall Reporter and Business Reporter, focusing on retail, tourism, real estate, and economic development. Joshua's early experience includes an internship at San Antonio Express-News and a senior reporting role at The Daily Texan after serving as Editor-in-Chief at The Ranger. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin and an Associate of Arts in Journalism from San Antonio College.
